90 days of peace apparently extended for at least four more days - Lindsay Lohan is about to be free

This is the face of a 27 year old woman named Lindsay Lohan. She looks much older doesn't she?

Are you wondering why you haven't heard any scandalous news about her in the past 90 days? That's because Lindsay Lohan has been to a court ordered rehab stint in California. Alas our 90 days of peace and quiet was about to be over this Wednesday, but it appears that she wants to stay in rehab for another 3-4 days as a 'transitional' period.

This could be a good or bad thing. Is she afraid of leaving the sheltered, controlled life in rehab or taking her rehab serious and wants to really change. No one knows except the woman herself. A woman who was once a talented actress has gone downhill the past few years.

The 'danger zone' as I call it will be when she leaves rehab and spends the next year or so out in public. Most people with addiction will eventually relapse (my opinion) and that's when it becomes dangerous. Just look at the actor from Glee who recently died from a drug overdose. He just got out of rehab earlier this year and was found in a hotel room dead.

Let's find out what happens to Lohan. I think she needs to stay away from parties, her 'inner circle', and especially her mom.

What do you think?

Movie Review: Olympus Has Fallen - But don't worry, Gerard Butler has got it covered

So this movie came out earlier this summer so you won't be able to watch it in theaters, but when it comes out on Blu-ray/DVD, definitely go out to buy it or rent it.

This movie has a lot going for it. It stars Aaron Eckhart has the President of the United States (believable), Gerard Butler as a secret service agent (believable), and Morgan Freeman as the Speaker of the House (of course it's believable, Freeman has played God...twice, President of the United States, spy, Director of Counter Intelligence, I think you get the picture).

Essentially, Butler plays a secret service agent who is thrust upon a situation where the White House is under attack and several top U.S. officials (including Eckhart's President) who are captured by enemy forces. It's quite ingenious on how the White House is attacked and I think the U.S. government should take notes because while not impossible, it's quite plausible. As always, I won't give a 'real' review as others might and I certainly won't provide anything that might be a spoiler.

Instead, if you didn't have an interest in watching it, give it a chance. I think it will keep you interested throughout the movie and on the edge of your seat.

I did find the timing of this movie coming out interesting and I wonder why movie studios would do something like this. What am I talking about? Basically, two studios produced a movie on the same subject, the White House coming under attack. What's worse? They decide to release the movie during the same summer. The other movie is called: White House Down
This movie stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. While I haven't seen this movie (I had no interest) I assume Tatum plays a secret service agent (somewhat believable) and Foxx as the President (totally NOT believable).

It's also kind of funny because this isn't the first time Hollywood has done this. In fact, it's happened a few times before.

For example, back in the summer of 1998, Hollywood put out two movies about an asteroid hitting the Earth. The movies were Deep Impact and Armageddon. Deep Impact made $349 million worldwide, while Armageddon made $553 million.

Another example came not in the summer movie season, but still just six months apart regardless. The movie was about Wyatt Earp and the competing films were called Tombstone and Wyatt Earp. Tombstone actually came out first in December 1993 and six months later, Wyatt Earp was released. In this instance, Tombstone actually did better financially pulling in $55 million domestically while Wyatt Earp only earned $25 million.

What have we learned here? When two competing movies come out about the same subject matter, one movie is going to do better financially and in terms of popularity.

You can also tell which movie is more popular by how often a movie is played on movie channels like HBO, Showtime, and basic cable. You will see Tombstone and Armageddon more often than Wyatt Earp and Deep Impact.

This summer, I suspect that Olympus Has Fallen will be the movie most people will remember and see on tv channels in the future. The only reason White House Down might have a chance is because of Tatum and Foxx.

What do you guys think? Did I miss another set of movies that came out around the same time on the same subject?

Meet the biggest Weiner in New York City

New York City is full of wieners. I think we all know that. However, New York City now has a reigning wiener.

His name is: Anthony WEINER!!!

Yes, I probably chose the worst photo that is not x-rated. Not only is he the biggest WEINER in New York City, he's also running for mayor. That's right, mayor of New York City.

Now you may ask, 'Why is he the biggest Weiner in New York City?'

Let's give you some background in case you don't know and I'll keep it simple:

1. He was a congressman of a district here in New York City
2. He's a Democrat
3. He's married to a woman who was an aide to Hillary Clinton
4. He sexted pictures of his penis to a woman while he was a congressman
5. He resigned over this scandal
6. He still sexted to at least 6 other women AFTER he got caught and apologized to the people of New York City
7. He wants to be Mayor
8. He's a dick

Somehow this a-hole thinks he can be mayor of New York City. He got caught, not once, but TWICE sexting to women even though he was married. Unfortunately, knowing the stupidity of people here in New York, it might actually happen.

He still has to win the Democratic nomination before heading to the general election, but if somehow this loser gets to become mayor, I will seriously consider moving out of New York City and try my luck in Nassau County.

As I've said before, 'I'd call him an asshole, but he's really a dick'

Movie Review: Pacific Rim - Who doesn't love robots?

So I will be honest with you. When I first saw the trailer for Pacific Rim, I was overwhelmed. Overwhelmed at what a stupid movie concept and how anyone greenlit this movie into full blown production.

After seeing multiple summer movies and continuously seeing trailers (the same trailer by the way) for the movie, I kept thinking, 'This movie looks ridiculous' and 'How the hell are robots (controlled by two people) going to fight against monsters?'

I was against watching this movie all the way up to the week the movie was supposed to debut. However, after watching a BRAND NEW trailer (which really helped since it was different than all the rest) and reading a synopsis of what the movie was about, it changed my mind.

In the end, if you liked robots when you were a kid, you WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!

I mean ANY kind of robots:

Transformers
 Gobots
Regular Robots
Robbie the Robot
and robots that tried to kill Will Smith

However, this is a movie about robots that are fighting 'monsters'. I was cringing how this was going to work from what I saw from the trailers. Two people who are hooked up to a giant robot and their movements control what it does? Really? Yeah, it happens. How does it happen? I won't ruin it for you. I'll let you go watch it and figure it out. It's not as crazy as it seems. Okay, it's a little crazy, but I guess plausible.

So the premise is this, monsters are attacking cities and humans forget their old rivalries and band together to make these giant robots who defend these cities. The good news is that you don't have to sit through the 'origins' as some movies might make you do. They explain in a great way what is going on and then fast forwards years into the future where the story picks up.

I won't ruin anything, but let's just say the action is great, the CGI/special effects are great, and the acting is, 'eh'. Not the greatest, but not the worst. Definitely some cheesy lines and definitely ONE great line! The next time I get use it, I am so using it. I think when you hear it, you'll be like, 'Oh yeah, that line was awesome!'

Overall it was a great movie and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I would definitely check it out if it's still in theaters.

Three out of four stars (***)

I'm back and ready for action

Question, did anyone notice I was missing? For any loyal readers, I apologize again for not posting in such a long time.

It's been quite a busy month and I have lots of thoughts on a lot of different things. I've seen quite a few movies which I will be 'reviewing', but not giving away any details of the movies, because I want you to discover it on your own.

I also posted awhile ago to have a theme for each day of the week. I definitely have a theme for Monday. It's going to be called...

I'll be reviewing a movie (either a recent summer blockbuster or a movie classic) every Monday and let you know if it's worth seeing or not.

Oh by the way, I also want to let you all know the images I use for my blog can be found on Google Images.

If I have used your image and you want me to take it down, please let me know and I'll be happy to.

Okay, so I'll see you guys soon and I'll try to figure out what I should talk about on Tuesday.
