Darrelle Revis traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - What about Sanchez?

Apparently the New York Jets have finally traded Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There was a lot of talk in sports talk radio for the past few months about whether or not the Jets should trade him or keep him because he is 'one of the best players in football'.

Even if he is the 'best player in football' and his comments on wanting to be a Jet 'forever', he has a funny way of showing it. He has held out once and threatened to hold out a second time in three years because of his contract (which he signed). Whatever happened to honoring one's agreement?

Now he is coming back from injury in his final year of his current deal and he wanted to be paid as if he's still the shutdown corner, even though he was out all of last year with a major injury to his knee.

He wanted to be the highest paid player on his team if not the league, but guess what? A cornerback will not win you games unless he plans to throw and run the ball on offense. The Jets have more pressing needs and this trade is great for them. They get the 13th pick in the first round of this year's draft and a fourth round pick (which might be upgraded to a third round pick) in next year's draft.

If only they could get rid of Mark Sanchez. I don't think I can bear another year of watching him be the QB of the New York Jets.
