In the future, do NOT trust machines with red dots!

I think movies about the future are trying to tell us something. If we don't listen, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Case in point, the new movie Oblivion starring Tom Cruise. I saw it over the weekend and it was quite good if you could get past the first half of the movie. If you're expecting non-stop action, then you might be disappointed, but overall it was a great movie.

I will say that if you do go watch this movie, do not go to the newly renovated AMC Fresh Meadows in Queens, NY. They have those awesome reclining leather seats and if you go watch the movie tired in anyway, you may actually fall asleep. I almost dozed off.

While not trying to give away any part of the movie, I will say that if you somehow survive into the future either by living to be over 100 years old, get cryogenically sealed, fly off on a space mission and return hundreds of years later, DO NOT trust any robot that has a red dot as an eye!

They are not your friends and at some point will try to exterminate you. Worse, they will either put you in a forced labor camp, lock you out of your spaceship, or keep you happy, fat, and in a floating chair while you play ping pong.

If you don't believe me take a look at the villains of the future:
