Okay, so we've all been there at some point in our lives. Starting any new job is stressful enough. Am I going to get along with my coworkers? Can I do the job I've been hired to do? What time is lunch?
As most of us know, your first day is usually involves coming in around 9am, waiting in the main reception area until your new boss summons you, being introduced to the desk you'll be sitting in for at least 8 hours a day, meeting almost every single person you'll possibly ever deal with, and filling out forms, forms, and more forms.
You'll probably skate by and be given some leeway for the first month (or few months) to make some mistakes and learn from them.
UNLESS, your job is a weekend anchor for a television station and everything you do is being broadcasted to homes across the city. That's what happened to poor A.J. Clemente from West Virginia University (which makes him being used to being on the East Coast)
So of course, you prepare yourself:
Wardrobe? check
Makeup? check
Stories you're going to cover during your segment? check
Cursing into a live mic while your co-anchor is about to introduce you to the world? check
Wait, what was that???
That's right, your first day on the job and first broadcast and you start off dropping the F-bomb to everyone before they even know your name. What's worse? It throws EVERYTHING off! Your co-anchor probably couldn't believe what you just said and can barely introduce you. Then she asks you to tell the audience a little about yourself and what you say makes absolutely no sense.
So after that introduction fiasco, you're hoping for a light hearted piece to start the newscast. Sorry A.J., your first story is about a fatal ATV accident.
While I don't know how he did after that first minute into the broadcast and I can't imagine what was said during the commercial break. I do know that he was suspended and/or fired.
Poor guy didn't even get that one month grace period. I wonder if he can collect unemployment and get a refund for his college education from West Virginia University's School of Journalism.
Speaking of West Virginia University's Perley Isaac Reed's School of Journalism, if you would like to attend or send your children there, here's a link to their site: http://journalism.wvu.edu

Vote for A.J Clemente... F'en Sh*T... opps! Still better than VP Biden.
